Gavin was the most perfect hairdresser throughout the whole journey and I couldn’t recommend him more. He carefully listened to and made sure he understood the look I wanted. We had a trial and despite me chopping and changing my mind throughout, Gavin remained patient, calm and positive, and helped me to work out what it was I wanted and recreated the look perfectly on the day. Gavin was a huge hit with the entire bridal party. I still can’t believe he managed to do 8 hair do’s in one morning to such a high standard, while also bringing fun and warmth to the morning. Well, where do I start with Gavin?! I came across him on Instagram after seeing him do a colleague’s wedding hair and from our first meeting I knew he was the right man for the job! He made me feel so at ease at our trial and created the exact style I wanted at the first attempt. We tried a few more out just to be sure and they all looked outstanding!

Gavin was so pleasant and professional from the start and after my first trial with him I had no doubt at all that my hair would look sensational on the day. When it came to the wedding day, once Gavin had performed his magic, I had never been so confident in the way my hair looked! The style and waves stayed in place for the entire day and withstood the weather, dancing and constant hugs from relatives. I received so many compliments from guests on the style and skill that it must of taken to achieve. Gavin was simply the best addition to my wedding day. From the first email to the finishing touches on the day he was calm, professional, reassuring and friendly. It's difficult to put into words how amazing Gavin was! From the very beginning when I first contacted him about doing my wedding hair he was so responsive, kind and reassuring about the whole process (especially as someone a bit clueless about hairstyles!). When covid hit he remained in contact with me in the weeks leading up to our day, always reassuring me that no matter how last minute it was going to be in saying 'yes we're going ahead' we could still make it work (restrictions depending of course). We were lucky enough to get to go ahead this year with a small wedding and Gavin was amazing with being on board with still doing my hair. We didn't have time for a trial in the end and I wasn't completely sure how to have my hair - Gavin was so patient, did lots of research for me and had so many brilliant ideas to help me make a decision. What Gavin did on the day was beyond anything I could have hoped for - he did my hair more beautifully than I've ever seen it and I can't thank him enough. He was so lovely on the day and made us all feel at ease - including my littlest seven year old bridesmaid. Everyone commented throughout the day and night how amazing my hair was and it stayed looking perfect the whole time. He also did my sister's hair and she was also over the moon with how it looked. I can't wait to have Gavin do mine and my bridesmaids’ hair next year for wedding 2.0! He really does go above and beyond to start your wedding day feeling fabulous and his skills with hair are so incredible! Thank you again for everything x

Gavin was completely amazing from start to finish. During my trial I had a really clear picture of what I wanted but I think I said something along the lines of 'I really want beachy, wavy, boho... but weddingy...' and he only went and read my mind. I have never and probably will never love my hair more than I did on my wedding day. I have long hair, but Gavin suggested using extensions to thicken it up and I was so glad he did, it just looked awesome, I looked like a flipping mermaid all day (which is exactly what I wanted)
To top it all off, he did my 7 year old daughter's hair to match which made her feel so included and special.
Gavin was also really great to have around on the morning of the wedding, he joined in the banter and everybody loved him.

I have curly hair and getting married in November was a daunting prospect; I was worried about frizz and my hair becoming uncontrollable on the day. I found Gavin via a blog he’d written on this subject. He understood the curly hair challenge and wrote about ways to make sure a bride feels super confident and looks beautiful on her wedding day. I knew he had to do my hair for my big day!
As well as really understanding curly hair, Gavin is creative, professional and did an incredible job with me and all my bridesmaids (who all had very different hair types and lengths).
